Power cable manufacturersThe produced power cables are used to transmit and distribute electrical energy. Power cables are often used in urban underground power grids, power station leads, internal power supply of industrial and mining enterprises, and underwater transmission lines across rivers and seas.

In power lines, the proportion of cables is gradually increasing. Power cables are cable products used to transmit and distribute high-power electrical energy in the main power system, including various insulated cables of 1-500 kV and above.

Power cable manufacturersThe cable has been used for more than a hundred years. In 1879, the American inventor Edison (T.A. Edison) wound jute on a copper rod, pierced it into an iron pipe, and then filled it with asphalt mixture to make a cable. He laid this cable in New York and turned on the underground transmission. The following year, the British Calende invented the asphalt impregnated paper insulated power cable. In 1889, an Englishman, S.Z. Ferranti, laid a 10-kV oil-impregnated paper-insulated cable between London and Dettford. In 1908, Britain built a 20 kV cable network. The application of cable is more and more extensive. In 1911, Germany laid 60 kV high-voltage cables and began the development of high-voltage cables. In 1913, the German M. Hochstein developed a phase shielded cable, which improved the electric field distribution inside the cable and eliminated the tangential stress on the insulation surface, which became a milestone in the development of power cables. In 1952, Sweden laid 380 kV high-voltage cables in the northern power plant and realized the application of high-voltage cables. By the 1980 s, 1100 kV and 1200 kV UHV power cables had been made.

Power cable manufacturersAccording to voltage level

According to the voltage level, it can be divided into medium and low voltage power cable (35 kV and below), high voltage cable (110 kV and above), pressure cable (275~800 kV) and high voltage cable (1000 kV and above). In addition, the current system can be divided into AC cables and DC cables.

According to the insulating material

1. Oil impregnated paper insulated power cable Oil impregnated paper insulated power cable. Its application history is long. It is reliable, long service life and low price. The main disadvantage is that the laying is limited by the drop. Since the development of non-drip-impregnated paper insulation, the problem of dropping has been solved, and oil-impregnated paper insulated cables continue to be widely used.

2.Power cable manufacturersplastic insulated power cable. Insulation is extruded plastic power cable. Commonly used plastics are polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene and cross-linked polyethylene. The plastic cable has simple structure, convenient manufacturing and processing, light weight, convenient installation and installation, and is not limited by the laying gap. Therefore, it is widely used as medium and low voltage cable, and has a tendency to replace viscous oil impregnated paper cable. Its disadvantage is the branch breakdown phenomenon, which limits its application at higher voltages.

3.Power cable manufacturersThe rubber insulated power cable insulation layer is made of rubber plus various compounding agents, fully mixed, extruded on the conductive wire core, heated and vulcanized. Soft and elastic, suitable for frequent movement, laying bending radius of the occasion.
