Scope of Application
Aluminum stranded wires and steel-cored aluminum stranded wires are mainly used for overhead laying in the open field, and are widely used for long-distance transmission of electric energy by power lines. Steel-cored aluminum stranded wire has the characteristics of simple structure, convenient erection and maintenance, low line cost, large transmission capacity, and it’s also favorable for laying across special geographical conditions such as rivers and valleys with good electrical conductivity, sufficient mechanical strength, high tensile strength, and enlargeable tower-pole distance. Therefore, it is widely used in overhead transmission and distribution lines of various voltage levels.
